Experience Matters
Before moving to Vermont, I worked at a large, national law firm helping clients buy exceedingly large real estate portfolios, often encompassing dozens of residential and commercial assets in dozens of states. I served my clients by personally analyzing thousands of deeds, easements, permits, surveys and other title documents, all while simultaneously managing the due diligence efforts of dozens of other attorneys and surveyors, in and outside my firm, who were helping, too. When all that dust settled, I then sat down and personally negotiate solutions to problems face-to-face with the most senior attorneys from the largest title insurance companies in our nation. It's been a long time since I did all that, but it's like riding a bike. So, when you hire me, I happily bring my prior national experience to bear for you, routinely finding things less-experienced attorneys miss. And that’s what real estate due diligence is all about: finding and fixing problems early so you're not stuck with them later.
